Timeline: MD1 1640 (During away mission to derelict ship)

The young Lieutenant at tactical who was monitoring the away team spoke up as something else caught her attention. "Captain, I'm reading a subspace disturbance roughly 5000 KM off Starboard aft. It looks like a ship is coming out of slipstream velocity."
Melody while still concerned with the away team, was intrigued "On screen."
The viewer image changed just as the USS Intrepid emerged from slipstream.
"We're bring hailed by Captain Adams." Lieutenant Cassedy reported.
Melody nodded and the viewer image changed again to that of Captain Adams. Melody had heard of him but had never met the young Captain until now. "Captain Adams. To what do we owe the pleasure?"
"Greetings Captain Jones. Don't worry we're not checking up on you. Starfleet wanted another ship to test the quantum slipstream drive and after the successful trials on the USS Voyager, they decided another Intrepid class starship would be suitable. We'll be heading off right after we've dropped off our passenger."
Melody frowned. "Passenger?"
"Yes, turns out you left someone on Deep Space 21 for a mission. Turns out it was concluded sooner than expected and she asked for a lift.
Melody smiled, realising who it was. "My thanks, Captain. I'll meet her myself in the transporter room."
Captain Admas noded. "Any time Captain Jones. Standing by for transport. Safe journey and good luck."
The turbolift door swished open and Lieutenant Kevin Bacon stepped onto the bridge. " Permission to come onto the bridge Captain. I heard we've run into some unusual energy readings and I came to see if there is anything that I can do to help. " Offered the Intelligence Officer.
Melody nodded and stood "Of course Lieutenant. In fact, would you mind watching the store for a moment so to speak, I've someone to meet in the transporter room. There is an away team over on that derelict ship..." she motioned to the ship on the main viewer. There's an open channel to Commander McPhee. There are no lifesign so we're not expecting any trouble. I'll be back in 10 minutes."
Kevin Smiled. " Of course Captain, I'll mind the store for you while you take care of business. " He walked over to the command chair as she got up and watched as she went to the turbolift. He stared at the chair briefly before sitting down and spoke into the com panel on the chair. " Commander McPhee this is Lieutenant Bacon, The Captain had to step away for a few minutes and I'll be providing overwatch until she returns. There is no emergency here, so nothing to worry about. Just a quick update, Bacon out. "

As Melody headed towards the turbolift, she tapped her combadge "Jones to Lieutenant Draxx, would you mind joining me in transporter room 1?"
“Yes Captain. I’ll be right there,” Draxx replied wondering what was up.
Transporter room 1
"Ready when you are Captain." The transporter chief reported as Melody entered.
"Hang on chief, We're just waiting on Lieutenant Draxx."
The young man nodded.
"I'm here," Draxx said walking in. "Is it Sansa? Please say its Sansa back again?" He couldn't imagine anyone else he would be summoned to the transporter room to greet personally with the Captain.
Melody smiled as she took his hand but said nothing, only turning her head slightly to the transporter chief.
"Energise."
The transporter lit up and Sansa materialised on the pad. She instantly ran over to Melody and Draxx and gave them both a big hug.
"Mum! Dad! I'm so happy to see you! I missed you so much! How are the boys?"
"It's good to see you too Sweetie. The boys are just fine." Melody replied.
“Ahh my princess. Back with us,” Draxx said happily pulling her into a further hug. “I missed you.”
"I've got to get back to the bridge but I want to hear all about what you've been up to," Melody said. "I'll catch up with you later."
Sansa gave her another hug. "Sure thing mum. Would you mind not telling Hamish I'm on board? I want to surprise him later."
Melody smiled and winked at her. "My lips are sealed."
“So then I’m going to need a full run down on everything,” Draxx said. “But first let’s go see your brothers and find some coffee.”
