It was a few days after the incident in Sav's quarters, Melody was still feeling a bit on edge. Someone unknown was watching her, or Save'ena and she did not like the idea. Even if it was Sav, it didn't make it any better as she was feeling very protective about her

She was walking with purpose now, on her way to see of the head of ships security had made any progress in uncovering the identity of this peeping tom.

Melody walked into the security office and approached Lieutenant Scarlet "Lieutenant, have you made any progress the problem I brought to your attention?"

Scarlet sighed and looked up at the Lieutenant. "Unfortunately, no. Tracking down the system anomaly is taking more time than I would have hoped."

Melody thought for an instance "Is there any way we could smoke them out? maybe give them some competition or something?"

"You're still operating on an assumption that I am not willing to focus on completely. However, it might make things easier to track if it is." Scarlet stood up and crossed his arms. "For what you recommend, it would have to be someone who could handle themselves. I don't like setting up people with a target on their back."

Melody crossed her arms and adopted a similar stance as she though on what he had said. "Ok then, what about you?" She decided to throw down and see if he was all talk or if indeed, he was ready to back up his words with action. "That way you're not asking anyone to do something you're not willing to do yourself. I also assume being chief of security, you can handle any problems that could arise?"

Scarlet just raised an eyebrow and stood speechless, unsure of if the Lieutenant was joking or not. "It is not a matter of 'can' I do it, but even pretending to have fraternization between officers can be unbecoming. There would be rumors, and possibly claims of bias..."

Melody raised an eyebrow. "I'm not talking about fraternizing. If this person is watching me via the security system no doubt he will pick up on even the smallest things."

He gritted his teeth. "Fine, but this doesn't mean I will suddenly start bringing you flowers or holding hands."

Melody shook her head and muttered under her breath "Chance would be a fine thing.............." Then raising her voice "So how are we going to get this started?"

Scarlet adjusted his posture and stood a little straighter. "I will meet you at the lounge. We can have a drink, and a meal while engaging in frivolous small talk. We can discuss then about how we'll continue the charade."

Melody started to smile then had to stop herself. She sighed "Well you certainly know how to sweet talk a lady , you silver tonged charmer. Sounds like a plan to me."

"I'll continue working on this and find the culprit as soon as possible to avoid having this go on for too long." Scarlet muttered. "Otherwise we will have to come up with a possible excuse to explain the lack of intimate contact." He crossed his arms. Hopefully it wouldn't go that far, but the culprit was bouncing his signal all over the ship and there were very few people he felt like trusting to pull in to help the investigation.

"Trying to get rid of me already. The date started out so well, then he seamed to tense up" Melody chuckled. "I'm meeting Save'ena for some time on the Starbase so I'll see you in the crew lounge in this evening. I'll even throw on my little black dress. Have to make it look convincing, no?" She called over her shoulder as she walked out of the security office, adding an extra sway to her hips as she went.

Scarlet could only sigh. If anything, it was just more incentive to find whoever was doing all of this.
