The door chimed as Scarlet briskly walked into the sickbay. He held onto his padd with a white knuckle grip. He might have to get a check up, but that didn't mean he was going to allow it to interrupt more of his day than it had too.

He spotted the CMO quickly enough and walked over to her, stopping a few feet away. "As requested, I and here for my medical. Have my medical files arrived?"

"Nice to see you Lieutenant, if you would sit down on the bio bed please," Caroline told him. "Yes your medical files have arrived. How are the nerves in your leg doing?" she asked.

Scarlet did as was asked and sat on the bio bed. The first question was always the same. His legs. As if by some miracle the damage was healed. He used to be snarky in his reply but that only prolonged the exams.

"I can only feel limited pressure in both legs. Heat, cold, piercing or scratching still do not cause any sensations. Since being assigned on a star ship this has not been a significant problem. However, I do a visual and tactile check of my legs after each away mission or holodeck excursion." Scarlet recited from memory. "Are there any other questions regarding my legs doctor?"

Caroline decided to ignore the recited response he clearly kept for medical staff. She was just doing her job, and had to ask the question. "Good to know. You will alert me to any changes," she stated not responding to his question.

"If you would just hop on the biobed please so I can take a baseline reading," she indicated.

He was about to protest the 'hop' part, but decided against it. Instead he leaned against the biobed and then lifted himself back into a sitting position.

Carolines eyes ran over the readout. "Your blood pressure is slightly elevated. Are you eating right and exercising sufficiently or do you just get wound up at medical? If the later I will take it again at the end of the exam.

Scarlet smirked. "White coat syndrome. Not uncommon when you've been poked and prodded as much as I have over the last few years." He paused and took a deep calming breath. "I can get the computer to give you a much more accurate reading from my quarters later."

"I didn't realise I was that scary," Caroline quipped. "And you being the chief of security and all, I thought you were tougher than that!," she grinned at him.

Scarlet just grumbled a little before sighing. "Elevated blood pressure from a slight... discomfort won't keep me from my duties or current tasks."

"Nobody said it would," Caroline stated simply a wry smile on her face. "So, you do find me scary then?"

"Are we finished Doctor?" Scarlet asked emphatically. He didn't like medical bays, not since he'd seen so many die in them.

"For now," Caroline informed him. "Patch those readings through to me. Maybe I will make a house call if sickbay freaks you out so much."
